THE FULL VIPER RACING GAME OR THE VR DEMO
REQUIRES THE FILES LISTED HERE

First you MUST replace the Viper Racing.exe in your C:/Sierra/Viper Racing folder or whatever drive you installed it to
with this one here.

Make a shortcut to your desktop from Viper Racing.exe in your Viper Racing folder.
Run the game from that.

You MUST also replace your race.bin file
in your Viper Racing/data folder with this one here.

Game runs on any 32 and 64 bit windows machines including 10 and 11.Now your game should work.
Thanks to Charlie Ward in Brunswick Maine for discovering how to modify the race.bin file from a solution he found by beatcracker on this web page.

After you replace your race.bin file, try your game....if it works, shut it down and if desired, set your game to a higher screen
resolution with your ResolutionChanger.exe program in your data folder.
In case you don't have that program, you can download it here.

IMORTANT: The game will not accept the ResolutionChanger settings if they are too high,
so if you get an error, lower that choice.

Now when you start your game.choose OPTIONS then GRAPHICS and click the correct resolution you want.
The game remembers it, so you don't have to do this every time.

SOME PCs need Direct X 9c installed, download here. Follow installation instructions carefully - installation is a bit different - Google it if needed.

Also some PCs need the Viper Racing.exe shortcut on your desktop to have compatibility set.
Right click on it, choose properties, compatibility and set it as shown here.

IMPORTANT:
I have heard some newer graphics cards just will NOT play Viper Racing.
